Chalo Bhulaava aaya hai Maata ne bulaaya hai.....
In this festive season of Navratri , today lets all visit the most amazing temple of Mansha devi in Haridwaar. I had the honour of visiting this sacred temple in April of 2010 and it reminded me of my visit to Vaishnu devi. There were so many things that I experienced on my way up to this temple such as the amazing view of Har ki pauri , the pain in my legs while going up but it totally disappeared after the sacred darshan, a sense of contentment and bliss while praying at this temple accompanied with a faith that whatever I wished will surely come true.
Isliye sab prem se milke bholo Jai Maata di!! Jai Maata di !!
This ancient temple dedicated to Mansa Devi is of great importance to the followers of Hinduism.
It is situated on the top of Bilwa Parbat and can be reached by foot or by a trolley through the ropeway. Mansa Devi is said to have emerged from the mind of Saint Kashyap and is regarded as the wife of Nag King Vasuki. The Holy Idol of the goddess has three mouths and five arms while the other statue has eight arms. As one of the famous Siddha Peetha temples, Mansa Devi is supposed to grant all the wishes of a sincere devotee. (In fact, Mansa is derived from the word 'Mansha' which means 'wish'. There is a holy tree in the vicinity of the temple.Devotees who want their wishes to be fulfilled by the Goddess tie threads to the branches of this tree. Once their wishes are fulfilled people come back again to the temple to untie the thread from the tree. This is one of the most popular and most visited temples of Haridwar.

This temple is famous throughout northern India due to the extraordinary liveliness of Maha Laksmi's divine energy here. This aspect of Laksmi (Mansa Devi) is known as the fulfiller of desires.

One can have a panoramic view of Haridwar from the top of Bilwa Hill.To reach the shrine one has to either follow the trekking route up to this holy shrine or ride on the recently introduced rope-way service. The rope-way service known as "Mansa Devi Udankhatola" was introduced for the benefit of the pilgrims and it caters to the pilgrims also to the nearby located Chandi Devi shrine. The rope-way carries the pilgrims from the lower station directly to the Mansa Devi Temple. The total length of the rope-way is 540 metres (1,770 ft) and the height it covers is 178 metres (584 ft). On a normal day, the temple is open between 8 am and 5 pm, except for lunch closings of 12 pm to 2 pm.
People usually tie threads on a holy tree that is located in the vicinity of the temple asking the Goddess to fulfill their wishes. On the fulfillment of the wishes, people come to untie the thread from the same tree once again.
On the top of the hill, there are many shops where coconuts, fruits, marigold garlands and incense sticks are available. These things are offered to the Goddess.
To visit the temple, pilgrims have to follow a queue for the 'darshan' of the Goddess. Mansadevi is said have born from the mind of Saint Kashyap. She is regarded as the wife of Nag Raja Vasuki. This temple is one of the most prominent temples of North India. Mansa Devi is one of the famous Siddh Peethas (Holy Places where one's wishes are fulfilled) along with Chandi Devi and Maya Devi in Haridwar.
This temple along with the nearby located Chandi Devi temple is visited by thousands of devotees from various parts of the country, and especially during the Navratra and the Kumbha Mela in Haridwar. It is said that goddesses Mansa and Chandi, the two forms of goddess Parvati always reside close to each other.

Archana of Sai, means ritualistic worship of Sai. It means worshipping the idol or photo of Sai with articles of worship. The ritual of devotion is offering service with loving care and sincerity to Sai, viewing and respecting everything as Sai, understanding His philosophy and being whole-heartedly happy with love. The external form of worshipping Baba includes performing the ritual with leaf, flower and other sacred articles earned by lawful means and serving the sick and needy. By this mode of worship, one develops immense love for Sai in one's own mind and instills the same love for Baba in others. When Meghashyama came to Sai, he was transformed and identified Baba with Lord Shiva and worshipped Him accordingly. On one auspicious occasion, Megha wanted to give holy ablution with Ganges water to Baba and obtained His permission. He walked a long distance and fetched the water from the river. Baba said "sprinkle water on my head and the bath is taken". He poured water on Baba's entire body, ecstatically shouting "Hara Hara Gange". Amazingly, only Baba's head got wet. Megha was puzzled. His ego was humbled by the turn of event and he bowed to Baba's Will. We should, therefore immerse ourselves in Sai's devotion to our best ability.
