An Abode of The Divine Master
In Shirdi village, at the age of sixteen, Sri Sai Baba appeared under a neem tree for His devotees. By that time, He was an enlightened soul and no one knew His parentage and lineage. On one occassion, possessed by the spirit of the deity, Khandoba, two men who were asked by the people gathered there to announce who the great soul underneath the neem tree was. They were commanded to dig with a crow bar under the tree. On so digging up, they found bricks and on removal of which a big stone-like door was sighted. When it was pushed aside, a stair-way led to an underground structure, where on the cemented floor, four wick lamps, beautiful rosaries and a cloth for placing them were seen. God Khandoba announced that the boy did penance there for twelve years. Thereupon, the humble villagers questioned the boy about it and He replied that it was His Guru's abode, a very holy place and, therefore, as in the past, it would be better to close and keep it safe. People did as he said so. The boy, who left Shirdi returned as Sai Baba, hallowed Shirdi for sixty years by His presence and healed, helped and enlightened whoever met Him by His miracles and message of love and service. Baba assured that whoever performs Guru Pooja on Thursday at the abode of His Guru will be blessed of self-liberation.

Pilgrimage To Shirdi
The evil deeds get nullified with charity, righteousness, service, pilgrimage to holy places and mind gets relaxed by visiting the shrines. Therefore, let us undertake pilgrimage to Shirdi and pay respects to our Perfect Master and God-Sai Baba. A work is conceived first in the mind. By the very thought of journeying to Shirdi, our internal journey to Shirdi has begun. When the objective is good, Baba will ensure that our journey to Shirdi is cleared of all hurdles. Baba had several times cautioned His devotees not to visit the shrine by borrowing funds. Our resolve to visit Shirdi implants the seed of happiness in us. The enthusiasm for starting the journey springs up in the mind. The heart prays with respect, saying, "Baba, You have to take me to You". With this, our duty is over. Look! Sainath's grace will take care of every step in our pilgrimage to Shirdi. Money and other things would come from unexpected sources. Some more people will get ready to accompany us. The mind always watches the glory of Sai Nath Maharaj. The tongue keeps singing His name. The ears would be pleased to listen to His songs of praise. But, the eyes impatiently yearn to see the beautiful idol of Baba seated on the throne at Samadhi Mandir in Shirdi. Why the delay now? Let us start for Shirdi. Hail the Supreme Divine Master of all, Shri Sainath Maharaj.

Right Conduct Draws the Blessings of Baba
The unique and marvellous gift for mankind rests only in reaching the permanent abode of God. How many are the fortunate souls who can attain that blessed state? For this purpose, some would render selfless service. Some would make many sacrifices. Yet others spend till their last pie in charity. Only a very few of them will get recognition, name and fame, rewards and honours. Some people cannot reach any noble status in this life nor receive any honours or appreciation. But, one need not repent. The reason behind our deeds may not be known to others, but the Supreme Lord knows everything.God dwells in every place. He can precisely calculate the good and bad deeds of ours. He would give the required result according to the meritorious and evil actions of humans. Even if the world blames or reproaches God-loving people who perform noble actions, ultimately they get the blessings and appreciation of Baba. One may feign to be a virtuous person and get a good name. But he can never deserve the Divine Grace of the All-knowing and All-Seeing Baba. Thus, there is no point in ostentatious activities, and to reach Baba one must obey the Master’s command and render selfless social service. Those who believe in Baba will live in peace, get united with God and experience enduring happiness in the abode of God.

Abundant Wealth is no Match to Baba's Blessings
We sometimes feel confused and conclude in illusion that the riches are wages in return for our good deeds performed in the present or past lives. What we give in return to God is nothing when compared to what God gave to us. Just as a tiny seed sown grows into a mighty tree and yields plenty of fruits, by the Grace of God, so also our little service bears rich fruits of reward for us. It is wrong notion to treat it as our merit. Sai Baba is God who descended to Shirdi to shower His Grace on His children. Baba maintained that one should give more than what one receives, thereby explaining the inner meaning of accepting charity. When we dedicate our perishable body along with the services rendered through it to the glory of Baba, He will bless us feel His Presence which is only a token of God's kindness, but not at all a remuneration of our labour. It is a fact that we become worthy of God's Grace only by the will of All-Merciful Baba. No amount of material riches can equal the blessings of Baba. They cannot be matched with any other gift. Many devotees pray to Baba seeking wealth, health, jobs and so on. In fact, there is no need to pray for our self-liberation. Once we attach ourselves to the Feet of Sai and serve Him in selfless love, we will be showered with His ever-lasting blessings.

Ever-Protecting And All-Blessing Hand of Baba
God raises His Hand of Benediction to all. Images of gods and goddesses we see sport the Hand of Assurance and Protection. Divine Assurance blesses us conquer fear and soothes our sorrows. Baba assures that He will always protect us. When we trust Baba, there will be no fear at all. Only when we err, fear would spring. Fear also comes from ignorance. One may have several hopes and aspirations for his future. By these desires, he becomes anxious and tense. Love for near and dear ones will make us worry over the impending dangers and with that concern we get afraid. Everyone must have complete faith in Baba, rise above pains and pleasures and live without self-concern. There are several occasions when Baba not only protected and saved devotees, who came to Him, from sufferings, but also those who were far away. Baba saved the baby of a devotee, staying somewhere, from falling into a hot furnace, by thrusting His hand into the flames of the fire-place. If we sincerely believe in Baba, He is visible everywhere. How can we commit sin before our Omnipresent Baba? Where is fear when we do not sin? Even if a mistake is committed by oversight, Baba grants us the mental state of His Divine Presence while paying the wages of sin by suffering. That is the kind of assurance Baba gives us.

Wealth Multiplies as We Share it With Others
God has provided us with abundant wealth and thereby assigned us the duty of making good use of it. But the wealth given to us is meant for sharing it with others. By hoarding it greedily, it becomes the cause of abject poverty. Baba makes use of us as His instruments to fulfil His nobler ends. The major objective of the Sai Master is to uplift the poor and the helpless. We are only the custodians and trustees of the wealth but not its owners. The wealth Baba gives us is endless. It multiplies upon sharing it with others. If we fail to discharge the duty of a trustee, we may have to lose the wealth gifted to us by the Merciful Baba. By virtue of good past life, some wealthy people are treated as "trustees of wealth" by Baba. However, the possession of wealth does not mean construction of granaries and iron safes to store it with a greedy mind. We should never get enslaved by gross selfishness and greediness when Baba blesses us grow richer and prosperous. Unspent and hoarded wealth may go waste or get lost by theft. Then, nothing remains with us. Therefore, we must give up our ego and greed and donate money for good cause. The Supreme Master, Sai Baba would appreciate our service and increase our fund of wealth by many folds. We must always remember and follow the ideal of Baba set before us, viz. 'The wealth gets multiplied by sharing it with the needy'.
