The rain waters poured down from the sky will be turned into a river and finally join the oceans. After getting absorbed in the earth to some extent, the remaining rainwater flows in the four directions and beautifies the earth with green meadows and rich harvest. It starts as a small brook, increases its flow and by joining several small streams and rivers, it finally becomes a great stretch of water. The mighty water-falls generate electric power. Rivers contain medicinal properties and their healing power purifies the body and soul of one who takes a dip into them. Rivers run from East to West unmindful of any ups and downs on the way and they are called by different names like Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, Krishna etc. One unending sheet of water flowing through different terrains reveals the oneness in the Universe to the human mind which makes all petty differences. All rivers rush towards the ocean. All rivers turn into the waters of the ocean once they merge into it. In a bid to join the Supreme Soul, all individual souls strive to move towards it. On realizing the Supreme Soul, the individual soul loses its identity and gets united with the Infinite One. Like a river, we must feed the hungry, care for the needy, protect the weak and flow straight and merge with the Almighty Ocean of Compassion that Sai is.
Life is not an Entanglement but a Flower of Faith
There is no life devoid of troubles and problems. People of different ages have to face different problems pertaining to their age. A newly born infant will feel insecure if it loses the mother's touch. A kid just admitted into a school thinks every new word a problem to learn. Thus, problems do exist not only for humans but for every living being. We can solve some of our problems by exercising our power of intelligence, perseverance and courage, while some intricate problems would test us. If we try to solve the challenging problems with our ordinary and limited intelligence, they might not possibly get solved. But it would be enough to remember that God has solution to every problem and solace to every sorrow in His Infinite Intelligence. It would suffice if we keep remembering God in every work and say 'Sai! You are making me do this work'. The fruit of this simple and heart-felt prayer would be very great. The train that we thought of missing it would arrive late to pick us up. There will be no tough question in the exam paper. We get our petty doubts clarified and get instructed, in silence, as to which subject to study or which job to take up. In fact, it is Baba who creates the web of problems and worries our minds. When we turn to Baba, He pulls us out of hardships and delights us. Every miracle of Baba is an expression of His infinite love for us.
Tearful thanks to God who Blessed us with tears
The perfume of sandalwood spreads in the air only on rubbing it. The glow and value of a gem will increase upon cutting and polishing it. The glitter of gold will get enhanced in blast-furnace. Man is purged only when he gets burnt in the fire of troubles and sheds tears. In fact, tears symbolize a melted and softened heart. The tears of joy would roll down in the presence of God. If God remains silent, tears trickle down due to a feeling of remorse, guilt and pain. Even doctors say that tears physically cleanse and make eyes bright. Poets would say that tears would cleanse the negative thoughts hid in the depths of the heart and make man truly noble. Really speaking, God-gifted tears, like a miracle medicine, cleanse the human mind and purify, beautify and edify it.We should pray to God not only in the hour of crisis but in every occasion and everywhere. God would then give us a stout heart to weather the life's storms. Both pains and pleasures are given by God. Therefore, we should treat both tears and smiles as gifts of God. The importance of light is known only in darkness. We appreciate the value of rest only after long hours of hard work. We know what joy is to experience when we suffer from sorrows. How can we be ungrateful to Baba who washes our sins and purifies us through troubles and problems?
