Festivals, Vrat and Auspicious days – Vivaswat Puja
Vivaswat Saptami or Vaivasvata Saptami is the birthday of Vivaswatha Manu. He was born on Ashadh Shukla Saptami. Vyvaswatha Saptami is also celebrated as Bhanu Saptami. Bhanu means the Sun God. Bhanu Saptami is the most auspicious Saptami day among all Saptamis. On Bhanu Saptami day, people worship the Sun God or Surya Bhagawan. Reciting Aditya Hridayam and any other Surya stotras will keep devotees’ health fit forever.
Bhanu Saptami is celebrated widely in South India and some Western parts of India. Vaivaswan’s descendants are called as Suryavanshis, because they are originated from the Sun God. Hence, Vivaswat Saptami is also observed as Bhanu Saptami.
Vaivaswatha Manu was the descendant of Vaivasvan, who ruled Ayodhya. Vaivasvan’s descendants made their rule on India. Descendants of Vaivasvan’s sons were called Suryavanshis. Lord Shri Ram was a Suryavanshi. Vaivaswatha Manu’s daughter, Ella, was married Buddha, the son of Chandra. Her descendants were called Chandravanshis. Lord Sri Krishna was Chandravanshi.
The other important Saptami dedicated to Surya Bhagawan is Rath Saptami which is celebrated in Magha masam.

C.B. Satpathy: BABA May I Answer
Many people say that Heaven lies at the feet of Guru. When and how one can experience this?
Washing and worshipping and serving the feet of a Sadguru is one out of the nine methods of devotion
prescribed in Hinduism. After the Guru takes ‘Samadhi’ i.e. leaves His physical body, one should meditate on His feet. Not only the feet but one should also meditate, according to Baba, from feet to head and from head to feet.To keep the feet of Guru in one’s heart reflects the attitude of egolessness and serving Him and surrender. Here we do not bear the attitude of companionship (Sakha) with the Master but rather the attitude of being at His servant (Dasa). The worship of His feet means surrender at His feet and obeying His every command without questioning. A Sadguru is a reservoir of spiritual energy which flows through His feet. We are bound to receive that spiritual energy when we touch His feet.
Quote of BABA:
Do not wail, wait a bit and have patience. Your wish will be fulfilled
Yes, one should hang down their heads for the mistakes done by them in the past, present and should reap their karmas in ahead also.
