One step closer to Brahma Gyaan

One step closer to Brahma gyan:::: A 'devotee' goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to the Temple . 'I've gone for 30 years now, he wrote, and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 mantras. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the Gurus are wasting theirs by giving services at all. This started a real controversy in the 'Letters to the Editor' column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher: I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this... They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to the Temple for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today! When you are DOWN to nothing.... God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment! ------------------------------ So easy to beat yourself up over mistakes you've made. So many amongst us live in the past rather than loving the present and building a brilliant future. Some people stay stuck for years over something they did or a failure they've experienced. Sad. A life is a terrible thing to waste. But let me ask you a question: "is there really such a thing as a mistake?" First of all, no one tries to fail or mess things up. Every one of us wakes up in the morning, walks out into the world and does the best we can do based on what we know and the skills we have. But even more importantly, every so-called "mistake' is actually a rich source of learning. An opportunity to build more awareness and understanding and gain precious experience. Experience that will help us do, feel and be even better. So, just maybe, there are no mistakes. Just maybe what we could call failures are actually growth lessons in wolf's clothing. And just maybe the person who experiences the most wins. ---------------------- A sick man turned to his doctor as he was preparing to Leave the examination room and said, 'Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side.' Very quietly, the doctor said, 'I don't know.' 'You don't know? You, a Christian man, Do not know what is on the other side?' The doctor was holding the handle of the door; On the other side came a sound of scratching and whining, And as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room And leaped on him with an eager show of gladness. Turning to the patient, the doctor said, 'Did you notice my dog? He's never been in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, And when the door opened, he sprang in without fear. I know little of what is on the other side of death, But I do know one thing... I know my Master is there and that is enough.' ------------------------------- A boy and a girl were playing together. The boy had a collection of marbles. The girl had some sweets with her. The boy told the girl that he will give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets. The girl agreed. The boy kept the biggest and the most beautiful marble aside and gave the rest to the girl. The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised. That night, the girl slept peacefully. But the boy couldn't sleep as he kept wondering if the girl had hidden some sweets from him the way he had hidden his best marble. Moral of the story: If you don't give your hundred percent in a relationship, you'll always keep doubting if the other person has given his/her hundred percent.. This is applicable for any relationship like love, employer-employee relationship, friendship etc., Give your hundred percent to everything you do and sleep peacefully ---------------------- The tragedy of life is not death,but what we let die inside us while we live.When u were born,the world rejoiced while u cried,-live ur life in such a way that when you die,-the world cries while u rejoice.. -------------------------------- Your days are your life in miniature. As you live your days, so you craft your life. What you do today is actually creating your future. The words you speak, the thoughts you think, the food you eat and the actions you take are defining your destiny â€“ shaping who you are becoming and what your life will stand for. There's no such thing as an unimportant day. Each of us is called to greatness. Each of us has an exquisite power within us. But for this power to grow, we need to use it. The more you exercise it each day, the stronger it gets. The more this power gets tapped, the more confident you grow. The best among us are not more gifted than the rest. They just take small steps each day as they march towards their biggest life. And the days slip into weeks, the weeks into months and before they know it, they arrive at a place called Extraordinary. ----------------------------- If you can not respect , love , care about ,stand by or be honest with your own parents ,-who gave birth to you and were the very first people who fell in love with you -- then whether you accept this or not but you do not love anyone else in this world either with all your heart and soul ....and time will show that none of your children will stand by you either- when you will need them the most.. ----------------------------------- If you sit with a person who is smoking, even without ur knowledge- You will end up inhaling second hand smoke.In the same way, if you be in the company of saints who constantly preach about the importance of doing good karma-, automatically even without ur knowledge- u will end up doing a lot of positive and humble deeds. If you be in the company of a person who keeps saying bad words and abusing others then then obviously whether u like it or not -- u will end up being the same kind of person sooner or later. And if u constantly listen to Gods name, his praises, his bhajans-even without you being aware of it - the words that will come out of your mouth will be nothing but the nectar of love and bliss. So be in the company of God and even without your knowledge-You will find him seated in your heart - talking to you and finding solutions to ur problems and worries.You just need to take one step towards Him and He will take 100 steps towards you.. While watching todays episode of Devon Ka Dev Mahadev, - I realized that Ego is so powerful that it can even make a Devtaa behave like an Asur[Demon]. It is the Ego which alone can show you the road to Hell , Loneliness and Unhappiness. May Sadguru Sainath save us all from our own Ego and give us the strength to be more wise and more humble.

The episode begins with Bali attacking Swarga and defeating everyone(you can say so the Devtas hardly seem to be putting up a fight-LOL).Bali finally takes away the Amrut as Indra is left screaming for Kartikeya and Mahadev to help him.

Vajrang is Happy and waits for Bali to return.As Indradev and Bali are chasing each other in aeroplanes(they look like that-he he).Indradev and Bali begin to fight over the Amrut(Voiceover-in the process of which a few drops fell to the ground-forming scared places in Ujjain,Nasik,Prayag and Haridwar).And in the tussle the Amrut falls into the sea as everyone looks shocked.

Meanwhile Mahadev opens his eyes,as Parvati smiles at him.Bramhadev,Vishnu and Narad have also reached Kailash.Narad asks Mahadev what to do now?,the worst has happened.Mahadev assures him and says even the worst leads to something good-and hopefully this will lead to peace between the Devtas and the Asurs.

Meanwhile Kartikeya defeats Tripat and kills him.

Back at Balis palace Vajrang is taunting Bali.Bali said he did as promised,but Vajrang said they havent got the Amrut.But suggests that they can attack the Devtas,Bali refuses to do so.An Irrate Shukrachrya makes them both shut up and reminds them of the gravity of the situation.Post Rishi Durvasas curse even his Sanjeevani Vidhya has no powers,and asks them to do something quick.

At Kailash Parvati recalls all that is happening and is worried.Mahadev asks her not to worry but Parvati says that knowing all that this is leading to how can she not be worried.Mahadev tells her that everything is happening for the best.Parvati asks for the reason for discord between the Asurs and Devtas.

Mahadev explains,Both the Asurs and Devtas are children of the same father,Daityas are from his wife Diti and Devtas from his wife Aditi.Both had thier own regions and assets alloted to them-however both of them were greedy and would go to any extent to prove thier superiority over the other,hence they are never at peace.

Parvati says she understands but cant help feel restless.Neither has Indra dev or the Asurs have done anything good towards them.She gave up her sons childhood to let Kartikeya kill Tarkasur but he was hurt by Indradev.She may be Adi Shakti but she isnt devoid of feelings.She cant be part of what he is doing knowing how much pain he will have to go through.

Meanwhile at Swarga Narad Muni is at his Taunting best,as her Taunts Indra for not doing anything.Indra dev is silent as Narad Muni slyly comments on how he still has something else left-an desperate ndra Dev asks what is it.Narad Muni cheekily replies-your Arrogance.Indra Dev is irritated as Brihaspati asks for a solution.Mahadev asks them to go to Mahadev.

Kartikeya is meditating and gets to know of what has happened.A Panicky Minakshi approaches him to tell the news and asks him is he is going.Kartikeya says no,he wont go until Mahadev calls him.He cant leave the South defenseless and he is sure his father will manage without him.

At Kailash the Gods approach Mahadev for a solution.He gives them one-everything has setteled in the Maha Sagar,hence Sagar Manthan is nessesary.But since both the Devtas and the Asurs are powerless at present,they both will have to com together and make it possible.Indradev refuses but Mahadev says there is no other option before him.Indradev reluctantly accepts.

At Balis palance Indra Dev arrives,Bali treats him with respect while Vajrang is disgusted.Indra Dev insults the Asurs as Bali,Vajrang and Shukrachrya look on angrily.

At Kailash Parvati is cajoled by little Ashok Sundari that everything will be fine-all the darkness will go and they will get thier jewellery back.Parvati smiles as AS asks her if Mahadev will take the avatars on earth in the future like Vishnu.Parvati smiles and says no-Mahadev is beyond death,beyond time,and he is beyond the cycle of life-hence he wont take any births on earth.AS hugs Parvati as Parvati gets disrturbed as she sees images of Mahadev swallowing the Halahal before her eyes.

Devi Parvati is worried about the potential danger that shadows on her husband Mahadev ..
(Flashes of the Samudr Manthan promo are shown..)

At Bali’s court, Takki’s daddy and Indr try to amend deals for the sake of the amrit (Elixir)

Where as Indr is as always at his arrogant spree..which seemed insulting to Bali and he complaints of the same to him. He also insults Takki’s father saying that he isn’t satisfied even after losing his son and grandchildren.

Indr also orders Bali that he has to help the devtas to get the amrit back.. and as before the fight ended between Bali and him, it will be the devtas who should be given amrit.
After that Indr goes to Mahadev and tells him his own version of what has happened at Bali’s place.. saying that the offer was rejected rudely
Then Bali, Shukracharya and Naradji appear there at Kailash and pay their respect to all… Naradji says that had devraj put the offer in a polite way he wouldn’t have been rejected.

Bali says that he is humbled to find Tridev (Trinity) together.
Mahadev to Bali … without the elixir the whole world is in danger and Shiv asks Bali whether his offer is ok with him?

Bali feels it as a privilege to help Brhma, Vishnu and Mahadev..
Soon after Bali says that he and all the asurs are ready for the Churning (Mantha) Indr too gives his word.

Shiv says that everyone will get together the next day for the Manthan.

At Patal lok… Vajranaka is perturbed to know that Bali has given his word on their behalf.

Parvati devi is still trying to sink in to the fact of what she has seen in her vision.. at that very moment Vishnuji appears saying that her worry is natural..

She questions that why is Mahadev always insulted – once it was her father Daksh when she was born as Sati and now this… The unwanted part which no one not even Vishnu himself is willing to accept is been given to Mahadev, why is he always humiliated? Why does he have to drink the poison?

Vishnu dev replies that Mahadev wants to erase differences between devta and asuras… To bring balance and peace to the world.

He explains that everybody wishes to have elixir but nobody dears to have poison.. but if that poison spreads in the world everyone knws what its consequences will be.
Vishnuji assures her that noone can ever hurt Mahadev .. he is going to gift away the elixir and taken the poison for the sake of the world- thus he is called
‘Devo Ke Devo Mahadev’
Hearing these words Paravti devi is pained.. but Vishnuji says that even if some danger starts its way towards Siva.. her love, care for him will keep him protected. He also tells her that when the time comes she will know about it by herself- what she had to do to protect him.

Bali raj gives a behavior lecture to the asurs; that how we wish others to behave with us, the similar way we have to behave with them.
“If we want others to be truthful and fair with us we have to first bring a change in our behavior”, that’s the essence of this Samudr Manthan.

At Swarg.. there is a different story all together that we see here… Indr is
intoxicated with his arrogance so much so that he compares Bali to an elephant which has hidden tooth just like the motives of asuras…Suddenly Indr dev is behaving like an Indian politician!

At Kailash as Mahadev meditates Devi Parvati is waiting for him to open his eyes…at last he wakes up from his meditation…
Shiva says Parvati to cease her explanation of her reaction onthe future event.. she continues that she was very disturbed by seeing the future that he has to drink the poison..but now she knows why he has to do such a thing- she tells him to go ahead and perform the duty of the ‘Jagat pita’ as she would stand by him performing her duty as his wife…
MAhadev says that even if she hadn’t given her approval too he had to drink the poison, but just by her one word of assurance he would drink millions of Samudr manthan’s poison !

(The little one is hearing this convo standing far away from her parents)
Mahadev says that she is not only his power but also my inspiration.. and then he says..
and my fav dialogue from the fist episode

“Jab kabhi bhi jag kalayan aur sansaar ki unnati ke liye kuch kiyajayee uss main Nahi samman ka moh hona chahiye aur Nahi apmaa ka bhay”

“whenever there is the question of betterment of the world there shouldn’ be any fear of insult or desire of praise/ respect”
He further continues that there shouldn’t be any desire of it.. what matters the most is the motive behind it!

“Whenever this world is in danger we won’t allow its poison to spread- You and me will always be there for the world” says a dutiful Siva.

Bali is continuing his lecture of behavior, Devta and asurs teh enemy.

He says that when such opposite minded work together there is always a possibility of arising of ego- it is contagious.
He says that we should put a check on our egos.. when asked by one of the asuras – if its the case when devtas are suffering from ego, e says that we shouldn’t give our thought to such things.

He plans to earn the amrit by discipline and hard work..”we shouldn’t forget that we are given a second chance and we should make use of it correctly.” says a fair minded Bali
He says that this is the chance when they can rub the infamous tag off their faces.

Indr is continuing has lost it!
Naradji is short of words by such degree of foolishness… he says that may be he has not paid attention of his words… Naradji tries to knock some sens in Indr dev’s tiny weeny brain… that Narayan and Brhm dev are not doing this for any selfish purpose but for the good of this world..
Indr sniggers at Naradji for his knowledge sharing after he leaves

Bali asks Vajranaka to accompany him… then Vajranaka gives a conspiring look at Chakri

Kailash..
Nandi and other ganas come to Shiva and say that his(Shiv) life style has become their individualism- he liked bhasm , they too applied it on to them; he liked to stay at Smashan- they too started living there…

When he has made them a apart of all this, then why is he stopping them from having poison questions Nandi.
Shiv says that everybody has their own duties and this time its his duty to drink the poison.. when retorted by Nandi, Devi Parvati says that if they go away to the Manthan who is going to take care of askho Sundari..

Nandi assures them tat they would take care of Ashok Sundari..

Ashok Sundari is seen blocking the way of Mahadev…

Shiva goes to his daughter who is in tears… he tells her that if she doesn’t let him go it is going to be very tough for him.. as his journey cannot be averted and he cannot say no to her.
She takes a promise from her father that the moment he finishes his work he should be with her… and also that he would tell stories to her, play with her on his return.

Mahadev is touched and proud of his daughter that she understands his duties…

All the devtas and asuras are standing opposite to each other and Shiv says that they have been called in for a ppurpose…He asks if anyone has any doubt regarding the procedure of Churning the ocean.
Then Shiva himself requests the ocean to allow them to prproceed for the Samudr Manathan procedure…

When your mind becomes fixed on God, you shall overcome all difficulties by His grace. But, if you do not listen to Him due to ego, you shall perish.
