Angry people tend to jump to—and act on—conclusions, and some of those conclusions can be very inaccurate. The first thing to do if you're in a heated discussion is slow down and think through your responses. Don't say the first thing that comes into your head, but slow down and think carefully about what you want to say. At the same time, listen carefully to what the other person is saying and take your time before answering.
Personally , according to me good communication is very important in any relationship-whether it is with your spouse, your parents, your children , your siblings or your friends. If you take the time and effort to listen to what the other person has to say and understand his doubts - a lot of problems can be solved before they even rise. A lot of us believe in themselves so much that we think we can never be wrong and we start arguing with people just to prove that they are wrong.
I talk to my mom in India every evening and when the sunsets over here- she sees sunrise at her end.. So strange and So true.. We both can go on and on with the argument - she trying to convince me that sun is just rising -- and I trying to prove that the sun is setting .. We don't realize in an argument sometimes that the other person is right keeping in mind her experiences from life and the circumstances that made her understand those kind of situations and facts and at the same time we are also right depending where we are standing. Expressing your anger or having mindless arguments over such matters will just drift us away from our loved ones and give rise to the negative energy.
May Sai give us the wisdom to understand other people and learn to communicate with them in a proper manner .May He help us to realize that anger and arguments will never solve any problems. They just give rise to ego and make our lives complicated..
Quote of BABA:
Look at me with undivided attention; so will I look at you. This is the only truth that my guru had taught me.
