One step closer to Brahma gyan:::: A 'devotee' goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to the Temple . 'I've gone for 30 years now, he wrote, and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 mantras. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the Gurus are wasting theirs by giving services at all. This started a real controversy in the 'Letters to the Editor' column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher: I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this... They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to the Temple for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today! When you are DOWN to nothing.... God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment! ------------------------------ So easy to beat yourself up over mistakes you've made. So many amongst us live in the past rather than loving the present and building a brilliant future. Some people stay stuck for years over something they did or a failure they've experienced. Sad. A life is a terrible thing to waste. But let me ask you a question: "is there really such a thing as a mistake?" First of all, no one tries to fail or mess things up. Every one of us wakes up in the morning, walks out into the world and does the best we can do based on what we know and the skills we have. But even more importantly, every so-called "mistake' is actually a rich source of learning. An opportunity to build more awareness and understanding and gain precious experience. Experience that will help us do, feel and be even better. So, just maybe, there are no mistakes. Just maybe what we could call failures are actually growth lessons in wolf's clothing. And just maybe the person who experiences the most wins. ---------------------- A sick man turned to his doctor as he was preparing to Leave the examination room and said, 'Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side.' Very quietly, the doctor said, 'I don't know.' 'You don't know? You, a Christian man, Do not know what is on the other side?' The doctor was holding the handle of the door; On the other side came a sound of scratching and whining, And as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room And leaped on him with an eager show of gladness. Turning to the patient, the doctor said, 'Did you notice my dog? He's never been in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, And when the door opened, he sprang in without fear. I know little of what is on the other side of death, But I do know one thing... I know my Master is there and that is enough.' ------------------------------- A boy and a girl were playing together. The boy had a collection of marbles. The girl had some sweets with her. The boy told the girl that he will give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets. The girl agreed. The boy kept the biggest and the most beautiful marble aside and gave the rest to the girl. The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised. That night, the girl slept peacefully. But the boy couldn't sleep as he kept wondering if the girl had hidden some sweets from him the way he had hidden his best marble. Moral of the story: If you don't give your hundred percent in a relationship, you'll always keep doubting if the other person has given his/her hundred percent.. This is applicable for any relationship like love, employer-employee relationship, friendship etc., Give your hundred percent to everything you do and sleep peacefully ---------------------- The tragedy of life is not death,but what we let die inside us while we live.When u were born,the world rejoiced while u cried,-live ur life in such a way that when you die,-the world cries while u rejoice.. -------------------------------- Your days are your life in miniature. As you live your days, so you craft your life. What you do today is actually creating your future. The words you speak, the thoughts you think, the food you eat and the actions you take are defining your destiny â€“ shaping who you are becoming and what your life will stand for. There's no such thing as an unimportant day. Each of us is called to greatness. Each of us has an exquisite power within us. But for this power to grow, we need to use it. The more you exercise it each day, the stronger it gets. The more this power gets tapped, the more confident you grow. The best among us are not more gifted than the rest. They just take small steps each day as they march towards their biggest life. And the days slip into weeks, the weeks into months and before they know it, they arrive at a place called Extraordinary. ----------------------------- If you can not respect , love , care about ,stand by or be honest with your own parents ,-who gave birth to you and were the very first people who fell in love with you -- then whether you accept this or not but you do not love anyone else in this world either with all your heart and soul ....and time will show that none of your children will stand by you either- when you will need them the most.. ----------------------------------- If you sit with a person who is smoking, even without ur knowledge- You will end up inhaling second hand smoke.In the same way, if you be in the company of saints who constantly preach about the importance of doing good karma-, automatically even without ur knowledge- u will end up doing a lot of positive and humble deeds. If you be in the company of a person who keeps saying bad words and abusing others then then obviously whether u like it or not -- u will end up being the same kind of person sooner or later. And if u constantly listen to Gods name, his praises, his bhajans-even without you being aware of it - the words that will come out of your mouth will be nothing but the nectar of love and bliss. So be in the company of God and even without your knowledge-You will find him seated in your heart - talking to you and finding solutions to ur problems and worries.You just need to take one step towards Him and He will take 100 steps towards you.. FREE ANNADAN SCHEME AT SHIRDI SAI PRASADALAYA
Shirdi is a place of Faith for each and every Sai Devotee. The Sai Devotees regard the Meal at the Shirdi Sai Prasadalaya as their Holy Prasad. Many generous Sai devotees donate meals for all the Sai Devotees free of cost. At present, in the Sai Prasadalaya, everyday 25 to 30 thousand Sai devotees have Meals. During the time of vacation and festivals of Lord Sai Baba the number of Sai devotees goes up to 60 thousand.

Free Prasad Meals are served to the poor, blind, handicapped & sages which totals upto approx 1000 persons everyday. Expenses of Prasad Meal is around Rs.16/-per plate while the Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan provides it to all devotees for Rs.10/- only. Apart from this, Children below the age of 10 are charged Rs.5/- for the same. The Sai Prasadalaya’s yearly expenditure is Rs 30 crores.
According to Shirdi Sai Sansthan's Executive Officer, Shri Kishore More during the festival & other days many devotees on their own / childrens / parents or relatives Birthdays or in fond remembrance of their parents / relatives, had expressed their desire to donate a One day Free Prasad Meal to all devotees at the Shirdi Sai Prasadalaya.

Respecting the wishes of Sai Devotees, the Shirdi Sai Sansthan Trust Management Committee decided to start a "One Day Free Annadan Scheme" at Shirdi Sai Prasadalaya from 31st March 2007. According to this scheme devotees can donate Rs 2 lakhs or more for One day Free Prasad Meal for all Sai devotees. The Donor can donate individually or in the group of maximum 5 members. As per the Scheme, the Prasad Meal Coupons will be freely distributed to the devotees in the Prasad queue according to the dates suggested by the Donor and also on the same day, the Donor(s) name(s) will be displayed at the Prasadalaya’s notice board.

Cost for a One Day Prasad Meal (Jan to Dec) -
1) Rs 3 Lakhs on Festivals like Shri Ramnavami, Shree Gurupurnima & Sai Baba's Punyatithi Utsav.
2) Rs 2 Lakhs on other (Non Festival) days.
This "One Day Free Annadan Scheme" at Shirdi Sai Prasadalaya is getting a lot of good response not only from India but also abroad.Recently, an American Sai Devotee Mrs.Himabindu Bandaru from New-york donated Rs 11,92,613/- for the free prasad meal to be distributed to all devotees from 11th Nov`2010 to 14th Nov`2010 at the Sai Prasadalaya.With this in total 112 Sai Devotees have donated Rs 2,24,27,899/- (2 Crore 24 Lakh 27 Thousand and 899 rupees) till now and thus provided one day free meal to 21,74,550 (21 lakh 74 Thousand 550) Sai Devotees.

SHRI SAI BABA SPIRITUAL THEME HI-TECH GARDEN COMPLEX

Many Sai devotees from India and Abroad who come to Shirdi for Baba's Darshan would also simultaneously like to learn more about Baba's Life.The average devotee lacks information and details about their revered Saint.The existing Sai Museum near Dixit Wada provides some information. It houses objects that were used by Baba, along with some artistic renderings of events from his life. Constrained by space, this is all that is possible in this location.

So for the benefit of the devotees, the Shirdi Sai Sansthan has planned a special Hi-tech Spiritual Theme Park wherein the Story of Sai Baba’s Life as mentioned in the Shri Sai Satcharitra will be depicted, using the interactive medium of various Multi-media/Visual Techniques.Approx 20 acres of land at Nimgaon-Korhale`Maharashtra has been chosen for this Sai Garden Complex which will be around 1km West-side from the Shirdi Sai Temple. Around 6 acres of land will be reserved for full fledged Car Parking.Starting in next 2 months, this project costing approx Rs.95 crores will be completed in around a years time. Shirdi Sansthan's Spiritual Theme Park - a Hi-tech Sai Garden is going to be India's Biggest and the First of its kind.It is going to be an integrated Eco-Spiritual Theme Park with Entertainment and Spiritual componentsand will function as the "Shri Sai Baba Garden Complex". A shuttle bus service might also be operated from this New complex to the original Sai Temple Complex. The entire land shall be planned as a landscaped park in which people can sit around in a serene environment. A central feature of this park shall be a dedicated Sai Baba Museum & Information Centre. Here, the exhibits and display material will bring to life the events as recorded in the manuscripts and books written on Shri Sai Baba. Audio Playbacks shall also narrate the episodes that are on display.

Another major attraction within this Park would be a 3d Larger-than-Life Illuminated Holographic Projection of Sai Baba's Image. The Park will have an Amphitheater, spaces for Sculptures, a Meditation Garden, a Music Garden & would be also used as an area for all spiritual discussions, discourses etc. -

SMALL TRAIN RIDE AROUND THE PARK

Two smokey transparent curtains of about 75 feet in diameter & one of about 120 feet in diameter will be made,for the cloudy / smokey effect to particulate matter (haze or smoke) into the air, so as to make the Laser Beams visible. It will have the India's biggest Laser show and that even a 4D Laser Show.The Laser Beams Show will depict the events from Shri Sai Satcharitra in such a manner as if actually happening. The devotees will feel as if Sai Baba is actually walking in-front of them.Each Laser show would be 40-minutes long and the tickets would be priced at approx Rs.75/- each.The work for all the Laser / Visual effects is going to be done by Australia's Laser Vision Mega Media Ltd with whom the Shirdi Sansthan has entered into an agreement for Rs.23 Crores.

The complete Architectural Landscaping & Designing of this Sai Garden Complex is going to be done in 3 phases by Delhi's Mathur & Kapre Associates Pvt Ltd who have also done the
Redevelopment project at the Shirdi Temple Premises to ensure the smooth passage for lakhs of devotees on a daily basis.

Omkaram' is the combination of Au, Vu and Um. This is the primordial sound eternally vibrating in the animate and in-animate beings. Omkara is the root of our Vedas. Sai Maharaj who manifested Himself in Shirdi as Sadguru awakens the divine power of Omkara within us through His teachings and leelas. Sai is the Creator, Savior and the Witness of this world.If we utter 'Om Sai', Sai will kindle the power of Omkara in us. Shri means 'all good, happiness and wealth'. Only if we utter Shri Sai, He will shower on us all the good things in the world with kindness. The utterance of Sri Sai is the blessed mantra that absolves us from all sins. Jaya means 'victory'. 'Jaya, Jaya' means a series of grand victories. If we utter Jaya jaya Sai, Sai Maharaj will bestow on us all the victories we yearn. If we constantly chant Om Sai, Sri Sai, Jaya Jaya Sai or sing bhajans in thought, word and deed, it will cause such a powerful impact that Baba will free us from the Karmic cage of birth-death-re-birth and liberates our souls. The place where the non-stop chanting of Sai's Name is done, gets charged and purified by the holy vibrations. Sainath will manifest and shower His blessings on us and fulfil the goal of our human birth. Now, let us move on... Let us ceaselessly chant Sai's Name and become worthy of attaining self-liberation.
